The Mom Box
Published on March 16th, 2009.
Each Christmas I give both of my daughters a “Mom box”. Each box contains items to encourage them to be the best mothers they can be. It might have craft books or special projects, devotional books or tapes geared toward young moms, first-aid kits, recipes for cooking with kids—and often something personal like bubble bath for a little pampering after a tough day of mothering! It’s become a tradition that Maria and Bianca have looked forward to every year for the last two years.

Mortal Sin
Published on March 12th, 2009.

Family Reunions
Published on March 3rd, 2009.
Filipinos have very strong family ties. No wonder, why every December, invitations for family reunions would always come from both maternal and fraternal sides. It is the time when aunts and cousins from both ends of the countries get to be known to the whole clan. Every family would spend time, money and effort just to make the event a grand and a successful one. And it’s quite different from families here in the U.S. and honestly speaking, I missed joining family reunions.
