Red wine or White wine?

Most of us thought that we are already experts in wine tasting. But the question really is: do we even know the reds from the whites?! A study was conducted to find out the answer for this question. When 52 wine tasters were given samples of white wines which are colored with a red coloring, all of them said that the wine they are tasting are truly red wine. However, the real difference between a white and a red wine is that the whites is too light and not at all well-balanced; while the reds has exquisite taste that is well-balanced. Now, we know why the old wine merchant’s adage holds true.

Treadmill Rumors

Questions can hound most anyone interested in working out habitually. Is there more to the treadmill than meets the eye? How similar is it to walking on a flat, stationary surface? Are there any associated dangers or concerns? Finally, does it help in building the muscles? And to debunk the myths, treadmill only tones the muscles and not build them. So for those who wanted to build muscles, it takes an anaerobic weight training to build the muscle mass. However, spending time on a treadmill on a regular basis would be of great impact to a healthy body.

Fills Right Feels light

While roaming around the grocery yesterday, my eyes caught something in the long array of trays that displays instant noodles. When I went nearer, I realized that it was a new noodle product that was recently released by it’s manufacturer. It’s a Sotanghon Lite– a low fat and cholesterol-free noodle soup. It’s no-cook, fat-free vermicelli noodles in clear, flavorful soup that make for a satisfying quick meal or a hearty-snack. Now, we could say that healthy can also be delicious..

Best Pig in Asia

I couldn’t believe that TIME magazine proclaimed that the best pig in Asia is the Filipinos’ “Lechon Cebu”. We’ll, even me, I could never deny such fact. But for that fact to b recognized internationally, then, it’s our pride and pleasure. The dish is similar to the Chinese’s Roast Suckling Pig, however, our version is tangier and the skin is crispier. Moreover, a Filipino feast will not be a feast without this dish. In fact, a “Lechon Festival” is annually celebrated in the Philippines to showcase the dish to both local and international tourists.

The Super Tuber

Way back, 8000 years ago, the potato has recorded history that it was first discovered from high up in the Andres mountains of Western South America. Today, there are dazzling arrays of impressive facts about the unpretentious potato that most of us hitherto may not have been aware of. For every 150 g of potato, it has 120 calories, and zero of which is fat! It has no cholesterol, low in sodium, rich in potassium and carbohydrates. It also contains 3 grams of protein. It’s best eaten plain boiled with no additions like salt and butter.
