Her take home pay was P7,000 a month, and she had four children. I was receiving P28,000 more than she and was single and that time… but not a single peso ever touched my savings account. Who do you think was more inspiring? Hands down, she was the winner.
There are many simple and humble heroes in our society that we do not notice. Just because they are janitors or our cleaning ladies, we do not pay attention to their stories. But I’ve learned that these are the people who deserve the accolade and praise. Despite their hardships, they know how to cope and make do with what they have.
