Cheaper Medicines Act

Last Saturday was the first day to take effect and implement the new law that was recently passed by the Philippine Senate titled, “Cheaper Medicines Act”. Such law aims to lower down and control the prices of generic and branded medicines in the Philippined to a price that tye masses can afford. To ensure the massive implementation, Philippines’ Department of Trade and Industry conducted a spot inspection to random pharmacies in the metro. Those who were found not following such law has been given one week to change their prices, or else, their license will be confiscated.
